Position Information

Job Title Research Assistant - Biomechanics - Other Hourly Worker Department Biomechanics Essential Functions

  • Extract key insights and quantitative metrics from histological and medical images
  • Test biological tissues mechanically and analyze and interpret biomechanical data from experimental studies
  • Assist in development and testing of benchtop systems for medical device evaluation
  • Support data processing, documentation, and reporting
  • Assist with large animal surgeries

Work Schedule Additional Duties Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, or other related fields.
  • Experience working with biological tissues and large animal models.
  • Experience analyzing biomechanical data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience assisting surgeons in operating room
  • Experience working with human and animal blood vessels.
