Research Analyst

The Research Analyst will perform comprehensive research and analysis across a variety of data sources to assess product availability, market conditions, and other key factors impacting federal determinations. This position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, well-supported conclusions.
Background:Ardent Eagle Solutions (AES) is seeking a Research Analyst to support a Department of Commerce (DOC) program. This role is responsible for conducting detailed analytical and evaluative work in support of regulatory and programmatic decision-making.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to examine facts, principles, and trends relevant to program objectives
- Evaluate data from public records, industry sources, and other research channels to support decision-making
- Prepare detailed investigative reports that clearly document findings, methodologies, and conclusions
- Assess multiple factors in support of determinations, including:
- Domestic production capabilities
- Availability of substitute products
- Qualification and regulatory requirements
- Inventory levels and market conditions
- Development status of U.S.-based products
- Synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and defensible recommendations
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to validate findings and ensure analytical consistency
- Work both independently and within a team environment under the direction of a Project Manager
- Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to program standards and analytical methodologies
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytical, research, or evaluation-focused role
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
- Experience working with multiple data sources and synthesizing findings into actionable insights
- Excellent written communication skills, particularly in report writing and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a structured environment
- This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance or other government suitability determination
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in an analytical discipline (e.g., Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Business, or related field)
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Work Location & Schedule
- Location: Hybrid (Colorado-based; combination of on-site and remote work)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Compensation
- Salary Range: $88,000 – $102,000 annually
