Repository Technician
This position is responsible for the receipt, inventory, storage, and shipping of clinical agents or biological specimens to various clinical sites and laboratories. These materials are stored at temperatures ranging from ambient to -196°C with potentially hazardous properties. The role requires the use of database applications and standard precautionary procedures to work independently, communicate effectively, and use good judgment when making decisions. Interaction with internal or external clients occurs under the guidance of experienced professional or technical staff. The position may involve travel to Rockville or Germantown, MD sites up to 25%. Work Environment
The work environment includes cold environments ranging from ambient to -196°C with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, and hazardous and infectious agents. The role involves performing highly repetitive tasks and requires walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50lbs continuously. There may be occasional sitting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Flexibility to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed is required.

Pay and Benefits
