Overview: An experienced reporter needed for Pittsburghs radio news leader. Candidates must possess a strong writing style, captivating delivery, and ability to work with an award-winning news team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to street reporting, newscast anchoring, delivering on-air traffic reports, conducting interviews, covering news stories, operating audio equipment, writing news scripts. Candidates must possess a strong social media acumen. Hours include weekdays and occasional weekends. A college education is preferred. This is an evergreen posting. Responsibilities ----------------
What Youll Do:
• Produce and record news segments. • Gather, write, record, edit, and deliver news content, including providing live coverage when breaking news occurs. • Interview news makers. • Write scripts and ad-libbing material for stories. • Update and utilize station social media platforms. • Develop and research potential news stories. • Anchor multi-hour news shifts on a news-talk station. • Deliver traffic reports for multiple stations. • Protecting the station's FCC license. • Make station appearances as required. • Other duties as required by management.

Required & Preferred:
• Minimum of 2+ years anchoring or reporting news for broadcast media. • Must be computer literate and have excellent writing skills. • The Position requires proficiency in editing and packaging news sound and interviews. • Position requires contemporary sound and excellent on-air delivery. • Knowledge of the broadcast area and station demographics is essential; 4-year degree in journalism is preferred.
