The Replenishment Manager is responsible for asset management and protection of customer service level for all McLane Grocery divisions for a specific category or categories. This position is also responsible for defining recommendations and direction related to inventory and service level while promoting company and department initiatives.

What you'll do as a Replenishment Manager:

  • Manage and report on key performance indicators including turn inventory, inbound fill rate, outbound service level and aged inventory.
  • Effectively manage a replenishment team responsible for purchasing inventory while maintaining key performance metrics including in-stock levels, sales compliance, inventory levels, inter-division transfer activity, slow moving inventory, and aged inventory.
  • Analyze, develop, implement, and monitor season strategies in collaboration with appropriate replenishment and sales teammates.
  • Manage inventory levels and flow of purchase orders to optimize receiving, storage, picking, and loading operations.
  • Work closely with and communicate well with suppliers, brokers, customers, and McLane Grocery divisions, to include customer service, sales, accounting, and operations.
  • Support, train and mentor Buyers and Sr Buyers.
  • Manage and support company and department initiatives.
  • Perform duties as operational sponsor for assigned divisions.
  • Build meaningful relationships with suppliers to better provide a superior customer experience and further company goals.
  • Report on service issues (investigate and report on service challenges including corrective actions)
  • Work cohesively with department trainer to ensure consistency of process and training that allows for efficient purchasing.
  • Oversee prioritization of supply when needed and provide guidance of resolution of escalations.
  • Assist team in aligning VMI activities appropriately with department goals and strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Replenishment Manager:

  • BS or BA degree in Business or related major.
  • Knowledge of McLane merchandising systems, online or demand reports.
  • Experience with PC data base and word processing programs.
  • Procurement knowledge and experience required.
  • Possess complete P&L understanding and comprehension.
  • Retail experience and/or understanding.
  • Strong leadership/coaching skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, organizational skills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
