EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Repair Technician for one of our partners, a global leader in DC fast charging and high-power electronics. In this position, you will diagnose and repair the power electronics inside fast-charging hardware at the component and board level, getting real units back to spec at a hands-on bench in a modern diagnostics and repair center.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electronic devices and their components, including high-power charging hardware.
  • Troubleshoot to the root cause of malfunctions and failures, then repair at the component and board (PCB) level.
  • Test the functionality of repaired devices to make sure they meet manufacturer and company standards.
  • Document repair processes and keep records of parts used and repairs performed.
  • Help maintain parts inventory and order supplies as needed; advise on hardware and software upgrades.
  • Work with the customer service team to explain technical issues in clear, understandable terms.
  • Follow all safety guidelines to keep a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience repairing electronic equipment (high-tech or automotive industry a plus).
  • Real troubleshooting and component-level repair skill (diagnosing and fixing, not just swapping parts).
  • Power electronics and high-voltage experience.
  • Ability to read and understand technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Comfort with electronic testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Technical degree or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand or walk for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications
  • EV charging, DC fast charging, or EVSE experience.
  • Soldering and rework certifications (for example IPC-610, J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721).
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in repair work.
  • Good written and verbal communication; able to explain technical issues simply.

Benefits

  • Hands-on bench repair work on cutting-edge power electronics at a fast-charging industry leader.
  • Modern diagnostics and repair center with formal product training and room to grow.
  • Competitive hourly pay (around $65,000) plus a full benefits package.
  • Stable, onsite role for local candidates (no relocation required).
