Description:
Perform general repairs and maintenance on company facilities, equipment, and property
Complete preventative maintenance on machinery, tools, and equipment
Assist with mechanical repairs on heavy equipment, trailers, railcars, and other company assets
Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, saws, drills, impact tools, and other maintenance equipment
Perform basic welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication as needed
Assist with painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs
Load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment
Operate forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers, man lifts, and other equipment as trained
Inspect equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns to management
Keep shop areas, work sites, and company property clean and organized
Perform yard maintenance including mowing, weed trimming, snow removal, and debris cleanup as needed
Follow preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders
Assist other departments with labor tasks as business needs require
Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies
Follow instructions from supervisors and be willing to perform a variety of job duties as assigned
Communicate with managers regarding repair status, equipment issues, and material needs
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations
Always make safety a priority
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Previous maintenance, construction, mechanical, or general labor experience preferred
Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
Experience using hand tools and power tools required
Welding and fabrication experience preferred but not required
Forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred
Valid driver's license preferred
Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions and safety procedures
Strong mechanical aptitude
Self-starter who works well independently

Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Good communication and teamwork skills

Physically and mentally fit
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
