Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recording and un-boxing of incoming repairs.
  • Inspection and analysis of seals, interpret and understand simple to complex component part and assembly drawings.
  • Disassembly of seals sent in for repair.
  • Seal Lapping:
    • Lapping the seal faces
    • Documenting table flatness.
    • Keeping the lapping area clean and functional.
  • Washing and blasting of parts after disassembly.
  • Basic maintenance of repair area equipment.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Assembling seals.
  • Inventory and Warehouse support:
    • Picking parts
    • Receiving shipments
    • Boxing & shipping orders
  • Entering orders into SAP.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, as determined by business needs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Graduate or GED preferred.
  • Min. of 1 year assembly or production experience; and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have sufficient mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
  • Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Good hand skills/dexterity
  • Must have ability to operate a Windows PC is a must.
  • Use of measuring equipment. Dial calipers and micrometers required.
  • Must have ability to read and interpret detail drawings.
  • Must have sufficient problem solving skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must have ability to work in a team environment.
  •  Must have ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must be self-motivated and have an attention to detail.
  •  Must have willingness for continued “on the job learning and development”.
  •  Must have willingness to work “on-call” and/or overtime when necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This position works in an open office environment where teamwork is emphasized. As such, regular attendance in the office is an essential function of the role.
