Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified applicants for a Renewable Energy Superintendent. Project locations associated with this position are primarily located in the Midwest and Central regions of the Unites States.  


Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region. Our team welcomes individuals who are committed to safety, passionate about their work and delivering quality workmanship with integrity and professionalism. 


Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Performing site grading for industrial, solar and wind construction projects which includes road improvements, drainage improvements, road maintenance, dewatering, soil correction, foundation excavation and backfill, utilities and any other necessary civil improvements required for a project.

  • Communicate with subcontractors in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays and assure on-time delivery.

  • Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules by way of daily communication with the Project Manager and General Superintendent.

  • Manage a workforce of approximately 5 to 25 team members (operators and laborers).

  • Assist Project Manager with expediting materials procurement, schedule, and project documentation.

  • Implement company safety policies and assure all personnel adhere to the project safety regulations.

  • Travel will be required for this position.



Position Qualification Preferences:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction

  • Ability to be a team leader under challenging conditions

  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple operations

  • Demonstrate ability to promote a safe work environment

  • Dependability: showing initiative and good follow through

  • Ability to problem solve and adjust to changing circumstances
