This role supports an advanced AI initiative focused on creating realistic simulations of real-world procurement workflows. Selected professionals will review vendor requests, benchmark pricing and contract terms, consolidate feedback from finance, legal, security, and IT teams, and develop high-quality evaluation rubrics reflecting how experienced procurement leaders assess new suppliers and renewals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assess supplier suitability, pricing, commercial terms, risk factors, and operational fit
    • Compare proposals against realistic internal reference data and procurement standards
    • Identify missing information, unsupported assumptions, and potential approval risks
    • Produce clear recommendations to approve, reject, or escalate requests

    Cross-Functional Review Consolidation

    • Resolve conflicting feedback and identify the most material issues affecting procurement decisions
    • Consolidate multiple review perspectives into a coherent final recommendation

    • Explain trade-offs clearly using practical procurement judgment

    Rubric & Reference Response Development

    • Author detailed, step-level rubrics for evaluating procurement tasks
    • Develop accurate reference responses reflecting experienced procurement decision-making
    • Define criteria for pricing, contract terms, risk, compliance, and approval quality
    • Distinguish between minor omissions and material errors within evaluation frameworks
    • Refine scoring standards to support consistent assessment across reviewers

    Simulation Quality & Realism Review

    • Audit simulated procurement environments for realism, completeness, and internal consistency
    • Identify contradictions across company policies, reference data, stakeholder feedback, and task instructions
    • Confirm that scenarios reflect mature vendor-review and spend-management processes
    • Recommend improvements before tasks are released for broader evaluation
    • Maintain a consistent standard of difficulty and practical relevance across assignments

    Ideal Profile

    Strong candidates may have:

    • At least 8 years of professional experience in procurement, spend operations, strategic sourcing, or vendor management
    • Hands-on experience managing new-vendor requests and contract renewals
    • Experience working within a mature procurement function with formal vendor-review processes
    • Strong understanding of supplier due diligence, commercial terms, contract risk, and stakeholder approvals
    • Ability to assess vendor proposals from financial, legal, security, IT, and operational perspectives
    • Excellent written communication and structured analytical skills
    • Comfort producing detailed rubric-style feedback and approval recommendations
    • Ability to work independently within a remote and asynchronous environment

    Educational Background

    • A degree in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, finance, operations, or a related discipline is helpful
    • Professional qualifications in procurement, sourcing, contract management, or supply chain may be valuable
    • Certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or comparable credentials may strengthen an application
    • Equivalent senior-level experience in procurement or vendor-management operations may also be considered

    • Experience working with finance, legal, security, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders
    • Knowledge of contract negotiation, renewal strategy, supplier performance, and spend optimisation

    Why This Opportunity

    • Apply senior procurement expertise to realistic, high-impact evaluation work
    • Shape how advanced AI systems understand vendor review and contract-renewal workflows
    • Work across pricing, commercial terms, stakeholder feedback, and supplier risk
    • Develop procurement rubrics and reference responses grounded in real-world experience
    • Participate in flexible remote work with competitive hourly compensation
