Position Summary
The Consultant, Outcomes Research Statistical Analyst reports to the Senior Director, Head of Statistical Programming and Outcomes Analytics. This role supports research initiatives across Women's Health, Established Brands, Biosimilars, and in-licensing opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing internal research projects, developing analytical datasets, conducting statistical analyses, and delivering actionable insights to support evidence generation, publications, congress presentations, and strategic decision-making.
 
Responsibilities
• Support research programs across Women's Health, Established Brands, Biosimilars, and in-licensing opportunities.
• Design and execute observational research studies involving developmental and commercial products.
• Develop study protocols and Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), ensuring appropriate study design, sample size, and statistical methodologies.
• Create analytical datasets and perform statistical analyses using large healthcare databases.
• Generate tables, listings, figures, and statistical outputs for publications, presentations, and internal reports.
• Analyze real-world data from insurance claims databases, electronic medical records (EMR), and patient registries.
• Develop and implement quality control processes, programming standards, and templates to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Communicate research findings and statistical insights to internal stakeholders.
• Support research projects intended for congress presentations and manuscript submissions.
• Utilize cloud and high-performance computing environments, including Azure and AWS.
• Meet project timelines with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Translate complex statistical findings into meaningful business and scientific insights.
 
Preferred Experience
• Experience working with large healthcare databases such as Premier, IBM MarketScan, THIN, Humedica, IMS PharMetrics Plus, GE Health, Flatiron, OMNY, and similar sources.
• Experience with the OMNY database and dermatology research is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical coding systems including ICD-10, SNOMED, LOINC, NDC, HCPCS, and CPT.
• Experience with R and R Shiny programming.
 
Qualifications
 
Education
• Bachelor's, Master's, or advanced degree (PhD, DrPH, PharmD, or equivalent) in Health Economics, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, Public Health, Epidemiology, Pharmacy Administration, or a related discipline.
 
Required Experience
• Minimum 7 years of SAS programming experience.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience conducting real-world evidence studies using large claims and EMR databases within a Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) environment.
• Experience developing analytical datasets and conducting statistical analyses.
• Strong SAS programming and data analysis skills.
• Extensive experience utilizing large healthcare databases, including insurance claims, electronic medical records, and registry databases.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
 
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with R and R Shiny programming.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud computing environments.
• Experience with OMNY and dermatology-focused research.
 
Additional Notes
• This position focuses on Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and real-world evidence analytics.
• Candidates with primarily clinical trial statistical analysis experience will not be considered.
