We are searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic team. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounting and Finance, with a proven track record of managing financial operations and providing strategic oversight. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our company's financials, ensuring compliance with SOX, conducting monthly reporting, leading annual budgeting processes, and managing various other accounting and finance operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with SOX and other relevant financial regulations.
2. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing strategic analysis and recommendations to senior management.
3. Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate and realistic financial planning.
4. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate entries and timely reconciliation of accounts.
5. Conduct regular income statement analysis, identifying variances and providing strategic recommendations to improve financial performance.
6. Manage cash and credit reviews, ensuring optimal cash flow and credit management.
7. Conduct regular account reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
8. Prepare balance sheets, providing accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders.
9. Lead internal audit processes, identifying areas of risk and implementing necessary controls.
10. Oversee ad hoc financial projects, providing strategic oversight and ensuring successful completion.
11. Utilize industry knowledge, particularly in the hospitality sector, to inform financial strategies and operations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
3. Strong knowledge of SOX and other relevant financial regulations.
4. Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
5. Strong experience in managing general ledger entries and conducting account reconciliation.
6. Proven track record in leading annual budgeting processes and conducting regular financial analysis.
7. Experience in conducting internal audits and implementing financial controls.
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify financial trends and variances.
10. Proficiency in using financial software and systems.
11. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
