Remote Accounts Payable Specialist Role — Urgently hiring near Columbus!

Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Pay: $25 - $27 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Start Date: ASAP

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll manage the company's invoice processing activities. You'll work closely with the U.S. Accounting Manager and other finance team members to ensure smooth and accurate payment workflows.

What You'll Do
As the Remote Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Receive, review, and accurately upload vendor invoices into Bill.com in a timely manner
  • Code invoices with correct vendor information, GL accounts, departments, payment terms, and expense categories
  • Perform 3-way matching for inventory invoices (PO, receipt, and invoice) to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Process vendor bills, employee credit card expenses, and inventory-related payables
  • Attach and maintain all required supporting documentation such as invoices, receipts, and purchase orders
  • Route invoices through approval workflows and monitor pending approvals to ensure SLA compliance
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, duplicate invoices, and missing documentation, and periodically audit vendor records for accuracy and completeness


What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
• 1-2 years experience in accounts payable or a related finance role
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience with Bill.com or similar AP software
• Knowledge of 3-way matching processes and invoice coding
