RELIEF WORKERPart-time 8-40 hrs. /WeekShifts: 6:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m., 9:30 p.m.-7:30 a.m.GENERAL SUMMARYThe purpose of this job is to supervise the safety and security of juvenile court wards and provide positive reinforcement and discipline.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Monitor and ensure the safety and security of all residents and facility staff.* Possess clear knowledge of and adhere to all facility policies and procedures.* Ensure individual and group interaction with residents.* Conduct individual and group interactions with co-workers and administration.* Paperwork/information management.* Perform related work as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequired Education and Experience* At least two years of relevant college-level course work or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, or a related field, with completion of an undergraduate degree preferred.* Some work experience working with juveniles is required.
