The Relief Operator III performs various tasks as a skilled operator in Cheese Manufacturing operations at our Antigo, WI location. This position is for 2nd shift on a 2/2/3 rotation from 4:00PM - 4:00 AM.

Certificates, Licenses or Registrations
Wisconsin Pasteurizer Operator and Cheese Maker Licenses; Bulk Milk Weigher and Sampler; Antibiotic Testing or other industry certifications preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and maneuver barrels of chemicals weighing up to 550 pounds using a two-wheeled barrel dolly. The employee occasionally uses a large wrench to apply approximately 100 ft/lb. of torque to open/close heat exchanger presses. The employee may carry chemical containers weighing up to 60 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles from heated wash solutions, toxic or caustic chemicals in the form of cleaning chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Tools Used and Protective Equipment Required
Pasteurizer, separator, vats, pumps, pH meter, Lactoscope, hand tools, refractometer, water hoses, chemical titration tests, thermometer, recording charts, CIP systems, and other tools/equipment as needed.
Steel-toe boots, chemical resistant gloves, apron, goggles, face shield, hearing protection, and other PPE as required.
