    Job: Reliability Technician

    Shift: 6pm-6:30am. Rotating 2-2-3 schedule

    Location: Royal Canin – Fremont, NE

    Reliability Technicians should have the ability to troubleshoot various basic level competencies: pneumatic, hydraulic, AC/DC electrical systems, automation & instrumentation, and mechanical systems on all process and packaging equipment with minimal guidance.

    As part of a team, properly maintain and repair equipment in a fast paced, high production work environment, while prioritizing multiple mechanical/electrical and administrative tasks. Reliability Techs will ensure planned work is completed or passed on to next shift.

    Responsibilities

    • Practice safety and support team safety awareness.
    • Assist with completion of team workload as scheduled.
    • Ensure information is entered in the CMMS to track utilization.
    • Coordinate and prioritize assigned daily workload.
    • Ensure major issues are recorded and communicated.
    • Ensure issues and temporary repairs are escalated.
    • Support team with positive motivation and team engagement.
    • Give feedback to Area Maintenance Leads on scheduled work to ensure work is completed accurately and completely.
    • Basic welding ability for repairs.
    • Ensure storeroom processes are followed correctly to ensure inventory is accurate.
    • Clear ability to relate to people
    • Basic written and oral communication skills
    • Functional in Micro-Soft office and CMMS software
    • Basic technical/functional skills maintaining assets and machine components for an area of responsibility.
    • Ability to troubleshoot AC/DC Electrical components (up to 480VAC 3 Phase) on all assigned equipment using basic test equipment such as multi-meters and amp probes.
    • Possess a fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings to solve problems in a timely manner at the component level on all assigned equipment.
    • Willingness to develop required technical skills
    • Basic problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
    • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.).
    • Frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
    • Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
    • Other duties as assigned by Area Maintenance Leads or Reliability Manager.

    Qualifications

    Minimum

    High School diploma or equivalent.

    3+ years of experience as maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing setting.

    Preferred

    Technical certificate or diploma.

    4+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing setting.
