Job Summary (Release Train Engineer - , Washington, D.C.)
- Serve as the servant leader and primary facilitator for an Agile Release Train (ART), ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and OKRs.
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of PI (Program Increment) Planning, including backlog readiness and logistics, and facilitate major in-person planning events.
- Facilitate key ART-level synchronization meetings (Coach Sync, PO Sync, Architect Sync, System Demos) and monitor key flow metrics (Velocity, Cycle Time, Predictability).
- Coach Scrum Masters, System Architects, Product Management, and Business Owners on agile practices, strategic roles, and value assignment.
- Drive flow optimization by establishing pull systems, mapping value streams, and removing dependencies to maximize value delivery.
- Champion continuous improvement using AgilityInsights TeamHealth assessments and the Inspect & Adapt (I&A) process.
- Foster a culture of servant leadership, psychological safety, and mutual influence to empower teams and support development.
- Collaborate with the Value Management Office (VMO) and other ARTs for cross-team planning and enterprise-wide delivery alignment.
- Utilize Lean-Agile tools and demonstrate technical literacy in DevOps and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Present confidently to large audiences and executive leadership, acting as the "face" of the ART.
- Work on-site in Washington, D.C. for critical events and PI Planning sessions.
- Hold active SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) 6.0, SPC 6.0, and AgilityInsights Facilitator certifications.E
