This individual will serve as the lead functional expert for the organization's reinsurance finance platform, SICS, while also acting as a Product Owner and Business Analyst for broader reinsurance finance technology initiatives. Working within an agile delivery environment, they will collaborate closely with business leaders, technology partners, and development teams to define requirements, improve workflows, and implement technology solutions that support Finance, Accounting, Claims, Reserving, and Underwriting Operations.

Job Details

Platform Ownership & Reinsurance Systems
  • Act as the primary owner and administrator of the SICS platform, overseeing system support, maintenance activities, and ongoing operational performance.
  • Serve as the key point of coordination between business stakeholders, DXC, and internal technology teams, including Infrastructure, Security, Audit, and Data Management.
  • Provide expertise on reinsurance transaction processing, contract structures, system configuration, and platform integrations.
  • Support business users by resolving operational issues, answering system-related inquiries, and recommending process improvements.
  • Partner with vendors and technical teams to troubleshoot processing failures, investigate data issues, and identify long-term corrective actions.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, service requests, and issue resolution efforts to ensure a stable and effective operating environment.
  • Promote strong data governance standards and help maintain the accuracy, integrity, and quality of information within the reinsurance ecosystem.

Financial Operations Support
  • Assist Finance teams during monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
  • Manage system configurations related to accounting periods and support both Assumed and Ceded reinsurance processing cycles.
  • Investigate transaction exceptions and processing discrepancies, working with stakeholders to implement timely resolutions.
  • Analyze operational and financial workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Product Ownership & Business Analysis
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Claims, Reserving, and Underwriting to understand business objectives and document functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow diagrams, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with product managers and development teams to prioritize work, refine requirements, and maintain a healthy delivery backlog.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning by evaluating business value, estimating effort, and identifying strategic opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in testing and validation activities to ensure delivered solutions meet user expectations and business requirements.

AI & Innovation
  • Champion the practical application of AI technologies to streamline analysis, automate manual processes, and accelerate solution delivery.
  • Utilize tools such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and similar technologies to evaluate requirements, develop prototypes, and rapidly test new concepts.
  • Build lightweight automations, proof-of-concepts, and business tools that demonstrate value before larger engineering investments are made.
  • Assess solution complexity and determine when initiatives should transition from experimentation into formal software development efforts.

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Build strong partnerships across business and technology teams to drive alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
  • Embrace a growth mindset and demonstrate flexibility as business needs, technologies, and organizational priorities evolve.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Technical Experience:
  • Hands-on experience supporting and administering SICS or a similar insurance/reinsurance administration and finance platform.
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance operations, accounting processes, and financial reporting cycles, including Assumed and Ceded business.
  • Experience collaborating with software vendors, third-party partners, and internal technology organizations to support platform operations and enhancements.
  • Working knowledge of database concepts, SQL, and relational data structures for issue investigation and solution development.
  • Familiarity with integrations, APIs, automated data exchanges, and connected financial systems.
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to improve business processes, accelerate analysis, and develop lightweight technology solutions.
  • Understanding of product ownership, business analysis methodologies, and Agile delivery practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance, documentation standards, incident management, and backlog management tools such as Jira.

AI-Focused Capabilities

The ideal candidate has practical experience applying AI tools to business challenges, including:
  • Creating effective prompts and reusable workflows to analyze information, summarize findings, and generate business documentation.
  • Building rapid prototypes, automations, scripts, and proof-of-concept solutions using AI-assisted development tools.
  • Converting stakeholder needs into structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Leveraging AI to accelerate data analysis, reporting, and decision support.
  • Understanding the limitations of AI-enabled solutions and recognizing when engineering support is required for enterprise-scale implementation.

Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders, gather requirements, and provide thoughtful recommendations that balance business needs with technical constraints.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and actuarial processes and translate them into scalable technology solutions.
  • Skilled communicator who can effectively interact with technical teams, executives, and business users.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive progress without direct authority.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and innovation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organization where priorities and responsibilities may change over time.
