Position Summary

The Reimbursement Representative is responsible for the day-to-day infusion referral/intake process pertaining to benefit verification and insurance pre-authorization of all infusion clients. Is a knowledgeable resource with issues relating to Payor contracts. Coordinates with and supports scheduling for infusion patients with the pharmacy and charge nurse. Provides communication linkages with prescribing provider, nursing staff, pharmacy staff and payors. This is an intermediate level patient account position. Work situations are a variety of routine and reoccurring functions which require a service-oriented attitude, organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and decision making within the scope of the position's responsibilities. Internal contacts are primarily within the workgroup. This position has extensive external contacts including providers, payors, clients and their families.

Essential Functions

  • Day-to day infusion referral/intake process including insurance benefit verification and pre-authorization.
  • Multi-disciplinary communication with providers, nursing staff, pharmacy staff, payors, and patients for scheduling and intake.


Qualifications

  • Two years of College development course work or 3 years relevant experience in referral intake and/or marketing
  • Minimum three (3) years recent infusion, reimbursement or related experience interacting with a multidisciplinary health care team

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $21.68 - $31.20 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
