Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Technician Assistant to our team. Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a VECCS level two certified Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a GE 64-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC is a multi-specialty hospital offering services in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine. Technician Assistant Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine 

Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME 

$18.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience 

WHAT YOULL DO  

  • Assist in supporting rehabilitation sessions by preparing equipment and therapy areas  
  • Safely handle and restrain patients during rehabilitation treatments and exercises  
  • Clean and maintain therapy equipment, including underwater treadmills and exercise tools  
  • Support patient mobility needs, including walking and positioning patients for treatments  
  • Monitor patient comfort and behavior during and after therapy sessions  
  • Maintain a clean, organized rehab environment to ensure safety for patients and staff  
  • Assist with scheduling flow and client interactions as directed  
  • Communicate patient observations to the rehabilitation team

REQUIREMENTS  

  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • Minimum one year previous experience in a veterinary or animal handling role required  
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude  
  • Able to multi-task  
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
