Position Overview
NCCH is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Rehabilitation Aide / Registration Clerk to support both clinical and front-office functions within the Rehabilitation Department. This role assists therapists with patient care activities while also handling patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification
Schedule Information
· Full Time On-Site 40 Hours
· Monday -Friday
· 8:00am-4:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists with patient care activities
- Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment areas and equipment between patients
- Transport patients safely to and from treatment
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain therapy schedules
- Register patients, verify insurance, and collect co-pays and required documentation
- Obtain and verify authorizations and physician orders as needed
- Enter charges, process payments, and assist with patient account
- Answer and direct phone calls professionally
- Provide clerical support to the Rehabilitation Department
Qualifications – Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Previous healthcare, clerical, or customer service experience
Skills & Competencies
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and providers
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to assist with patient transport and support
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
