The Rehabilitation Therapist Clinical Specialist (RTCS), in addition to performing the similar job duties of a staff therapist, performs specialized rehabilitation job duties related to the treatment, service/clinical procedure development, marketing, research, staff training and education of patients/stakeholders in their designated specialist field. A RTCS is a clinical leader in their specialist rehabilitation field and is required to gain and maintain extensive knowledge, training and designated external certification in their specialist field. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
3 years of full time therapy experience within the past 5 years
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
PT (Physical Therapist) OR OT (Occupational Therapist) OR SLP (Speech Language Pathologist)
BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written). This job requires the incumbents to operate a INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Oklahoma State Drivers License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.

The Rehabilitation Therapist Clinical Specialist (RTCS) essential functions include in addition to performing the same job duties of a staff rehabilitation therapist in their discipline, the RTCS:
Provides specialized assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to patients in their specialist field in acute hospital, inpatient, outpatient and/or community-based rehabilitation settings as appropriate.
Delivers specialized rehabilitation advice, education and training across the rehabilitation continuum of care to patients, families, staff, other health care providers and other stakeholders within their specialist field as appropriate.
Leads, performs and/or facilitates in functions, lectures, teams, projects and/or services within their specialized field, rehabilitation program or service line as appropriate.
RTCS is required to gain and maintain extensive knowledge, training and designated external certification within their specialist field.
Leads, performs and/or facilitates in the development of therapy clinical guidelines/procedures and service development within their specialist field across the rehabilitation continuum as appropriate.
Helps in planning and delivery of marketing of rehabilitation services to all stakeholders within their specialist field as appropriate.
Leads, performs and/or facilitates in research activities within their specialist field as appropriate.
Performs work in a professional manner displaying strong leadership, communication, teamwork, passion, motivation and independent judgment. Reports to the assigned Manager/Director with matrix responsibility to Jim Thorpe Clinical Development Department.
This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements.

Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposures to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, mechanical and electrical equipment, variety of chemicals, and sharp equipment (debridement, splinting and kitchen equipment). Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and cumulative stress. Potential for incidents of workplace violence (agitated, confused, combative patients, or angry family members). Must follow universal safety precautions. Moderate to frequent exposure to oven, stove, microwave, and heat gun depending on venue of care. May be exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals. Must cope with high caseloads and multiple demands. May be required to be on call status, work weekends, or flex schedules.
