Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary:

The director provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for patients. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, and operational functions. Maintains 24 hour accountability. The position requires a continuing focus on meeting the needs of internal/external customers as well as providing leadership and direction to deliver high quality of cost effective services.

· Supervises, leads and staffs as appropriate.

· Works closely with program managers, other department managers, clinical department heads, medical staff, insurance companies, employers, patients, consumers and various community groups and agencies to promote and advocate for rehabilitation services.

· Develops, meets and approves outpatient rehabilitation policies and procedures.

· Communicates and enforces clinic services policies and procedures.

· Implements systems to comply with federal, state, local and other regulatory standards as applicable.

· Develops, meets and evaluates the product lines, strategic and fiscal goals and objectives, which are measurable, achievable and changeable, based on mission/strategic plan/regulatory requirements.

· Implements customer satisfaction goals.

· Involved with strategic planning process to include new programs and services, medical staff as appropriate, etc.

· Works with program manager to establish risk management program.

· Prepares annual budget for product line with is approved by the CEO.

· Assures consistency for areas of responsibility.

· Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Current Occupational therapy licensure in the State of Colorado, NBCOT certification, Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross..

B. Education:

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy field required. MBA or MHA preferred but not required.
