Reports To:   Lead Physical Therapist/Rehab Therapy Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Performs and initiates mobility tasks such as ambulation and transfers of identified patients by nursing and rehab.   At times may include  assisting with patient transfers during therapy session in direct supervision of licensed therapist or therapist assistant, treatment room set up, patient census documentation, maintenance and cleaning of therapy equipment..  Other clerical and support tasks as requested.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  High School graduate

Licensure:  CPR Required

Experience:  None required; on-the-job training.

Skills:  Good communication and organization skills. Needs knowledge of basic computer skills. Must be able to accept direction from various personnel.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in acute care hospital  setting. .  Exposure to hazardous chemicals and equipment found in  typical acute care hospital  setting.  Must be flexible in regards to work setting and / or duties with limited advanced notice.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT

Moderate amount of walking with some bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting.  Minimal amount of stress encountered.
