Responsibilities:

Assists the therapists and assistants in the performance of patient care duties. Transports patients between nursing and therapy areas as appropriate and applicable. Provides general housekeeping duties for the therapy area to include clearing of equipment, clean-up of treatment areas post provision of care. Assists in maintaining various supply levels. Other duties as assigned to include some clerical functions (answer phones, scheduling). Reports to Therapy Manager or Senior Therapist; supervised by Therapists and Therapy Assistants. Supports all programs in the Rehabilitation Continuum including activities program. Maintains working relationships with: Hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, case managers, social workers, allied health professionals, ancillary services, and hospital support personnel.

 

Hours: 9-430 or 1-5 pending needs of the dept and the requirement is one 8 hour shift per month

Education Requirements

 

  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
  • High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education

The 62 bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit provides acute inpatient medical rehabilitation services to patients with functional impairments as a result of various diagnoses including, stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, multiple traumas, orthopedic conditions, amputations, and other disabling conditions.
