Description:
This is a Technical Department position that requires a thorough understanding of relevant CFR, WAC, WSDA, and other regulatory programs, Standard Methods for Water Analysis, and the ability to review, interpret, and manage internal regulatory programs. A familiarity with lab protocol and safety techniques is necessary to support the regulatory programs. The Regulatory Specialist 1 is primarily responsible for assisting in the generation and management of internal technical/regulatory programs, and for assisting in the training thereon, as relevant.
Responsibilities:
· Provides 3-1 task and project list; checks email, voicemail, and order inboxes daily.
· Assists Technical Director in the following duties: Classifying CH2O, Inc. products in accordance with the GHS standard.
· Generating SDS for CH2O, Inc. products.
· Generating labels for CH2O, Inc. products.
· Registering and maintaining EPA products.
· Generating and maintaining internal Labor & Industries safety programs.
· Generating and maintaining internal programs relating to State and Federal waste regulations.
· Performing audits to ensure conformance to internal regulatory programs.
· Properly classifying CH2O, Inc. products for DOT shipping purposes.
· Comply with ISO 9001 requirements including documentation and recordkeeping.
· Perform quality control analysis for chemical formulations with remediation skills.
· Perform complex and non-routine water and deposit analyses.
· Perform routine maintenance of analytical instrumentation.
Requirements:
· Algebra and college level chemistry skills are required.
· Computer competency.
· Ability to employ investigative research procedures, including report writing and evaluation.
· Detail oriented.
· Able to follow written and verbal directions.
· Able to give written and verbal instructions.
· Able to distinguish color and odor.
· Able to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
· Must be cleared to wear respirator on a non-routine basis.

Salary Range: $23.00 - $33.00 /hour
