Regulatory Legal Assistant

We are seeking a temp to perm, detail-oriented Regulatory Legal Assistant to support our (re)insurance regulatory and licensing compliance function across U.S. And international jurisdictions. This is an onsite position in midtown Manhattan. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate filings, renewals, and regulatory communications while partnering closely with legal, compliance, and business teams. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, submit, and track (re)insurance license applications, renewals, and corporate filings
• Coordinate regulatory approvals, including affiliate transactions and reinsurance agreements
• Liaise with state insurance departments, regulatory authorities, and external partners
• Monitor filing deadlines, maintain compliance records, and track regulatory fees and payments
• Support director and officer filings, including biographical affidavits and updates
• Conduct regulatory research and respond to internal inquiries on insurance compliance matters
• Manage high-volume requests, data calls, and regulatory communications
• Maintain organized records of licenses, registrations, and filings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2–3 years of relevant legal, compliance, or regulatory experience required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills
