Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is seeking a Regulatory Coordinator to help ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across the organization in Springfield, MA.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Vice President of Quality and Safety, this role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with leaders in Quality, Risk Management, and Compliance to support a culture of accountability, safety, and regulatory excellence across the organization.
Regulatory Compliance & Survey Readiness
- Partner across departments to strengthen system-wide regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness initiatives
- Support adherence to standards from The Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation, and Massachusetts Department of Public Health
- Identify compliance gaps and lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of corrective action plans
- Participate in environmental rounds to identify and mitigate safety risks and regulatory concerns
- Support survey preparation, actively participate in on-site surveys, and lead post-survey follow-up activities
- Manage regulatory workflows within The Joint Commission Connect portal, including submissions, documentation, and corrective action plans
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on accreditation standards and regulatory requirements
Audit, Data & Performance Monitoring
- Develop and maintain audit tools, tracers, and regulatory reporting mechanisms
- Track, analyze, and trend compliance data to inform performance improvement efforts
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design meaningful performance metrics and tracers
- Lead monthly regulatory readiness meetings to monitor organizational compliance status
Education & Engagement
- Educate leaders and staff on regulatory standards and expectations
- Develop and deliver training materials and presentations to support survey readiness and compliance awareness

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree, required
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare, regulatory, quality, or compliance-related roles preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across teams
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess compliance risks and drive solutions
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong auditing, documentation, and tracking capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
- High level of discretion when handling sensitive and regulatory information
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
