Dairy Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Location: Bellevue

Compensation: Up to $43.34 per hour, based on experience

Schedule:
 Monday through Friday
 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
 40 hours per week

 

Candidates must be open to:

  • Swing and graveyard shifts when needed for audits or training
  • Overtime as required
  • Schedule flexibility with advance notice provided

 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Dairy Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support regulatory compliance, internal auditing, training initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a dairy manufacturing environment.

 

This role is ideal for a quality and compliance professional with deep knowledge of dairy regulations, strong auditing experience, and the ability to collaborate across operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams.

 

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local dairy regulations while driving proactive quality and compliance initiatives throughout the facility.

 

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Auditing

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with dairy regulations and standards
  • Monitor adherence to PMO standards, FDA regulations, and state-specific requirements
  • Identify compliance gaps and support corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain audit readiness and support regulatory inspections

 

Training & Development

  • Design and deliver training programs focused on dairy regulatory compliance and food safety
  • Train production staff, laboratory personnel, supervisors, and plant leadership
  • Support ongoing education and compliance awareness initiatives across departments

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and HR teams to address non-compliance issues
  • Support root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and regulatory compliance

 

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain detailed audit records, compliance documentation, and training records
  • Prepare reports for internal leadership and regulatory agencies
  • Analyze audit findings and compliance trends to identify process improvement opportunities

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in:
    • Food Science
    • Dairy Science
    • Microbiology
    • Or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in dairy compliance, quality assurance, auditing, or regulatory affairs
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • PMO regulations
    • FDA requirements
    • State-level dairy regulations
  • Experience within dairy or food manufacturing environments
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into operational processes
  • Experience leading cross-functional compliance initiatives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Industry certifications such as:
    • HACCP
    • SQF
    • PCQI
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience using audit management software
