The Aquatics Facility Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons using the pool, enforcing rules and regulations, and providing emergency care when needed.
They assist in supervising, hiring, training, and scheduling part-time/seasonal lifeguard staff, ensuring adequate coverage and safety standards.
The role involves performing rescues, administering first aid, maintaining pool safety and sanitation, managing supplies, and supporting facility operations and special events.
The position requires CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard certifications, a valid driver's license, and physical ability to perform strenuous activities.
Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and prior lifeguard experience.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential, along with flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
