    JOB PURPOSE

    To assist the on-going communication and processing responsibilities typical of a Registrar's office, working primarily with student communications and student academic records.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Manage student communications including phone calls, voicemails, emails, and walk-ins to best assist the student, or direct them to the individual best able to provide assistance.
    • Enter, maintain, and manage data from various sources or files to update the Student Information System (CAMS) and document database (Docuware) on a regular basis. Maintaining a high level of accuracy allows the Registrar and the office team to address mismanagement of the system and the system data.
    • Processing transcript requests received via paper request forms and through National Student Clearinghouse. This includes collecting requests and seeing them through to completion and distribution of the student transcript.
    • Other duties assigned by the Registrar, as needed in relation to the functions of the Registrar's Office

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • No more than twenty-nine (20) hours per week
    • Shared office environment

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

    Including, however not limited to:

    • Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God
    • Bachelor's Degree, Preferred
    • Knowledge in Registration, data processing, and higher education procedures
    • Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Student Information Systems.
    • The ability to read and comprehend all information in regard to student records
    • Ability to stay focused on tasks assigned
    • Experience in higher education preferred
    • Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department
    • Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
    • Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency.
    • Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Must possess a positive attitude
    • Able to show a desire and willingness to learn
    • Must be able to pass background screening, including driving record
    • Eligible to work in the United States

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at desk or computer station
    • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
    • Able lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
