Job Class: Regular Part-time (29 hours per week max), Non-exempt, IMRF Pension Eligible
Work Hours: Monday through Friday 2:00 PM-6:00 PM
Pay rate: $17.50 per hour
Position Summary
Under general direction and supervision, the Registrar I - Community Center will serve as a first impression for patrons entering the Community Center at the Addison Park District. This key position will serve as the face of the agency to greet, assist, and register patrons for programs and events at the Community Recreation Center. This position is not limited to these tasks but will also bring forth support and efforts for those who are on staff at the Community Center. Bilingual skills strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- General knowledge of Word Processing Programs, Excel, Email, RecTrac, and general office operations.
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Bilingual skills strongly preferred

- Aptitude to use a computer for e-mail, report processing, and business operations.
- Ability to cooperate with and interpret Park District philosophies concerning governmental, public, and private groups or agencies, and to the general public.
- Ability to work harmoniously with fellow employees, patrons, community groups, and other units of local government.
- Ability to utilize effective time management skills and be able to work under the stress of multiple deadlines, requests from others, and interruptions, with accuracy.
- Ability to read and write in English and organize effectively.
- Capacity to maintain self-control and composure in difficult situations.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, standing, reaching, sitting and working at a computer.
- General work area is indoors, in a smoke-free environment with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting
- Occasional exposure to natural and potentially extreme weather conditions while attending to job-related activities.
- Exposure to noise distractions from employees, patrons or equipment operation in adjacent work areas.
