Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated professional from a registration (non-clinical) background who is eager to grow within BayCare and build a long-term career, with interest in developing toward a leadership or manager track.

This role is responsible for performing functions across multiple registrar modalities, including:

  • Reception
  • Registration
  • Scheduling
  • Financial counseling
  • Bed control
  • Cashier functions
  • Insurance verification/authorization

The team member will demonstrate proficiency across all Registrar functions within the department.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Resolving registrar and customer service issues
  • Processing payroll
  • Maintaining department staffing schedules
  • Assisting leadership with team guidance and direction
  • Participating in coaching and counseling
  • Supporting annual performance evaluations
  • Rotating shifts and performing other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications & Attributes

  • Insurance and administrative experience
  • Beginner-level proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced ER environment
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable in the role

Qualifications

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience Required:

  • 2 years of admitting or registration experience OR
  • 1 year of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree
