Essential Qualifications:
A.A.S or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program
Passing score on the VTNE
Currently or is eligible to hold an active license to practice as a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Maryland
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Flexibility to work rotating Saturday shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years or more experience as an RVT
Experience with veterinary practice management software such as Avimark or equivalent
Knowledge of companion animal behavior and handling, including exotic mammals and reptiles (a plus)
Comfortable with all aspects of the position to include surgical nursing, radiography, anesthesia, laboratory, emergency medicine, client education, nutrition, etc.
General Practice experience strongly preferred, but welcome the knowledge of RVTs coming from specialty or emergency medicine.
