In this role, you will:
  • Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
  • Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.
  • Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
  • Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian's orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.


This is a part-time position, offering a flexible schedule. Please note that rotating weekend shifts are required.

Full-time benefits and compensation :
  • Compensation: $19-23 per hour, for each hour worked
  • Bonus package: $2,000
  • CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Ohio
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Surgery set up and assisting
    • Phlebotomy
    • Sample collection
    • Inpatient care


Hillside Small Animal Hospital is a full-service companion animal practice serving Batavia and Cincinnati's east side suburbs. Our hospital focuses exclusively on dogs and cats, combining family-oriented, relationship-based care with modern medical expertise. Our dedicated team-comprised of two veterinarians, four registered technicians, and experienced support staff-is known for our clear communication and for delivering "star treatment" compassion to all of our patients.
