- Perform ultrasound procedures following the SPUH ultrasound scanning protocol appropriate to the ages of the patients.
- Prepare patient for ultrasound procedure- this includes proper clothing, educating patient and family - if pediatric patient ease fears.
- Assist Radiologist to obtain a diagnosis.
- Determine when a patient should be held until their physician is contacted with results of the procedure.
- Accurately record a complete technologist ''note'' to include all pertinent information concerning the exam/procedure.
