Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join a 400+ bed acute care facility and Level I Adult & Pediatric Trauma Center in Miami-Dade County. This role provides comprehensive, patient-centered respiratory care for critically ill patients across trauma, burn, surgical, women’s & children’s services, and intensive care units.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments
Conduct diagnostic testing and evaluate treatment effectiveness
Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
Assist with airway management, including artificial airway placement and maintenance
Initiate, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilation support
Observe patient responses and intervene as clinically indicated
Assist with safe transport of ventilator-dependent patients
Respond to respiratory emergencies and support airway management during resuscitation efforts
Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) credential
Associate Degree or completion of an accredited vocational respiratory care program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
