Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join a 400+ bed acute care facility and Level I Adult & Pediatric Trauma Center in Miami-Dade County. This role provides comprehensive, patient-centered respiratory care for critically ill patients across trauma, burn, surgical, women’s & children’s services, and intensive care units.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments
- Conduct diagnostic testing and evaluate treatment effectiveness
- Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
- Assist with airway management, including artificial airway placement and maintenance
- Initiate, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilation support
- Observe patient responses and intervene as clinically indicated
- Assist with safe transport of ventilator-dependent patients
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and support airway management during resuscitation efforts
- Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) credential
- Associate Degree or completion of an accredited vocational respiratory care program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
