Registered Respiratory Therapist

A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is needed in Kissimmee, FL, at a Joint Commission accredited 404-bed hospital offering a broad range of services including a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Heart & Vascular Institute, Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric ER, and a Graduate Medical Education Program.

The role. Working under general supervision, the RRT sets up and administers both routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures for patients across all age groups. A core focus of this position is the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short- and long-term mechanical ventilation. Therapists are expected to work in a self-directed manner in the absence of the Team Leader, while maintaining accurate department and hospital records and entering therapy information into the hospital computer system.

What we're looking for.

• 1 year of RRT experience
• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• Completion of a two-year AMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or equivalent)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date

Schedule. Days or Nights, both with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $27.42 - $36.95/hr plus Sign-on bonus available
