    Description

    What We Offer:

    Join the Novant Health East Cooper Medical Center team as a Seasonal Resource Team Nurse!  This position will support Mother Baby/Couplet Care.

     

    Location: East Cooper Medical Center

    Address: 2000 Hospital Dr, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464

    Schedule: 3 shifts/week 7pm-7am, weekend and holiday rotation and one call shift required. 

    Length: This is a 6 week, temporary position

    What We‘re Looking For:
    • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
    • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
    • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. 
    What You‘ll Do:
    • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments, including physical examination, vital sign monitoring, and detailed history collection, for postpartum and neonatals. 
    • Promptly recognize and report critical changes in patient status to the appropriate physician or advanced practice provider. 

    • Collaborate effectively as a core member of the interdisciplinary team.

    • Provide clear, concise, and accurate handoff communication during patient transfers, shift changes, and between care teams. 

    • Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during high-stress, crisis, and traumatic situations. 

    • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring patient rights are respected and care decisions reflect the patient‘s best interests and wishes.
