Responsibilities 6A is a 32-bed unit that provides care primarily to three Internal Medicine Services. We perform in-depth treatment for patients with multiple chronic illnesses including Diabetes, Hypertension, and Lupus. 6A is a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding medical unit for new graduate nurses as well as experienced nurses. The staff participates in self-scheduling, developing in-services, and professional practice committees.

Work Schedule
All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit in times of low census.
Union Affiliation This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
