Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Valid California Registered Nurse license
  • Certifications Requirements: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
  • Experience Requirements: At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience; previous travel experience preferred
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work independently in emergency situations; strong clinical skills; excellent communication skills; physically able to handle 12-hour night shifts; basic knowledge of Cerner EMR; must be able to pass hospital orientation and pre-employment screenings

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care to patients in a busy Women's Health unit, ensuring safety and comfort for mother and newborns.
  • Monitor and respond to fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, utilizing advanced fetal monitoring techniques and equipment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage deliveries, including active labor, preterm, and uncomplicated term pregnancies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, procedures, and medication administration in Cerner EMR.
  • Prepare and support patients through postpartum and neonatal procedures, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
