Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides high-quality patient care using the nursing process, within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. This role is responsible for the delivery of patient-centered care, delegation and oversight of support staff, and consistent contribution to departmental goals. The nurse is expected to work with autonomy and accountability while demonstrating leadership and strong clinical judgment in a telemetry unit setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Use the nursing process effectively to provide and evaluate patient care.
Assess educational needs and deliver appropriate teaching strategies to patients and families.
Lead and manage interdisciplinary care resources to ensure quality outcomes.
Leverage data and clinical insight to evaluate practices and promote improvement.
Demonstrate behavior that aligns with patient-centered care and organizational mission.
Adapt communication and behavior to match the cultural and developmental needs of diverse patients.
Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and maintain documentation as required.
Report compliance, privacy, and safety concerns promptly per company policy.
Perform related duties as needed, adapting to the changing demands of a healthcare setting.

Education:
Certifications:
Active RN license in Louisiana (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred
Certification in a clinical specialty area – preferred
