Job Summary: Provides professional nursing care to patients/families and the community. Accomplishes this by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care and supervising the work of the licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff and students assigned to the unit.

Minimum Qualifications: Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.

Preferred Qualifications: Diploma, Associate or Bachelors degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. 6-12 months of RN experience preferred for this position, however, new-to-practice nurses will also be considered. This position actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.

Work Days: Full-time (40 hours a week) and part-time opportunities available on varying shifts including days, evenings, and nights. Weekend and holiday rotation as required by bargaining agreements.

Salary Range/Pay Rate: Commensurate with Qualifications, based on acute care experience.
