Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:

Three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A bachelors degree in nursing plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A masters degree in nursing or public health plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A doctorate in nursing or public health plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

In this role, you will:

  • Plans and directs the care delivery of all residents on a unit.
  • Makes rounds to assess residents, employees, and physical plant of assigned unit.
  • Supervises, reviews, and evaluates the performance of subordinate staff in the delivery of resident care.
  • Investigates, documents, and reports with suggested plan of action, complaints, and unusual occurrences to the Nursing Director.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional or WAE

Career Progression: This position may be filled as RN Supervisor A and is not in a Career Progression.

Work Schedule: Work hours are 8 or 12-hour shifts, which may include DAY OR NIGHT, or WEEKEND shifts.

Compensation: This position has a base Salary Rate starting from $33.91/hr, depending on qualifications, and is eligible for premium pay of $4.00 per hour worked and a $2.00 per hour shift differential on nights/weekends/holidays.
