What Youll Do

Provide critical care nursing for adult surgical and medical ICU patients
Manage complex patient conditions including respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, neuro, and surgical cases
Monitor ventilator management, assist with intubation/extubation, and manage vasoactive drips
Maintain invasive lines such as CVLs and art lines, and manage EVD drains
Administer medications, tube feedings, and perform daily patient assessments
Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, including charge RN, CNA, RT, and hospitalists

What You Need
Required:

Valid RN license in State
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 years ICU experience, including ventilator management, stroke care, and invasive line management
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Flexibility to float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed

Preferred:

Experience with neuro, cardiac, or trauma ICU patients
Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills

About the Assignment
Join a dedicated ICU team at a prominent hospital that provides adult surgical and medical critical care. The ICU unit maintains an average census of 16 patients/day, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2. You will be supported by experienced charge nurses, daily PICC and RT support, and a stable environment focused on patient safety and quality care.
