To further our mission of helping individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to live their best possible lives, the St. Louis Arc is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our nursing team. This is a full-time, 40 hours/week (M-F) salaried role with an annual salary of $70,000-$75,000.
What you will do:
Ensure quality health and safety services are delivered to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Support individuals to maintain the best possible health and receive the most appropriate medical care available.
Adhere to Arc Core Values of Respect, Collaboration, and Empowerment
Advise the Residential and/or Day Programs teams and medical teams in planning and developing administrative and operational policies, procedures, and future planning
Serve as liaison for the Residential and/or Day Programs teams in regard to state, professional, and accrediting groups
Manage individual data and medical records
Ensure implementation of proper health care plans as ordered by physicians
Participate in the agency’s Workers' Compensation case management as assigned
Prepare and maintain all healthcare-related reports and forms
Train and support direct care staff on delegated nursing duties and medication administration procedures
Deliver care with appropriate age and cultural competence and according to individualized needs
Demonstrate and support all St. Louis Arc Diversity and Inclusion practices/initiatives

STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT ASSISTANCE

What we expect of you:
The flexible, respectful individual we see is an innovative and quick thinker with these qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
Ability to obtain Department of Mental Health Community RN status within 30 days of hire
Valid Missouri RN License
Two or more years of previous nursing experience
Two or more of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
CPR/FA training - provided by St. Louis Arc at no charge
Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance

Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities
Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
