West Janisch Health Care Center is seeking a confident and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor to oversee clinical operations and support our nursing team during weekend shifts.

This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who thrives in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment and is committed to quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and team accountability.

As Weekend Supervisor, you are the clinical authority for the building — ensuring safe operations, supporting staff, and maintaining continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight & Leadership

• Supervise nursing staff across all units during weekend shifts

• Coordinate resident care and ensure appropriate staffing support

• Serve as the primary clinical leader in the building

Resident Care & Assessment

• Provide direct nursing care as needed

• Assess and respond to changes in resident condition

• Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and leadership

• Manage admissions, readmissions, and acute changes

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure adherence to facility policies and state/federal regulations

• Monitor documentation accuracy and EMR compliance

• Support infection prevention and safety initiatives

• Participate in rounds, audits, and shift report oversight

Team Support

• Mentor and coach nursing staff

• Promote accountability, teamwork, and strong morale

• Ensure clear communication between departments

Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (required)

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care experience strongly preferred

• Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and delegation abilities

• Ability to lead independently and manage weekend operations confidently
