The Glen Rose School District is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-centered Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff while helping ensure students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

Qualifications Current Arkansas Registered Nurse (RN) license Current CPR and First Aid certification Knowledge of student health procedures, medication administration, and emergency response protocols Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with state and federal regulations Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, physicians, and community agencies School nursing experience preferred, but not required Primary Responsibilities

The School Nurse shall:

Provide nursing care and health services for students and staff Assess student health needs and respond appropriately to illness, injury, and emergencies Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policy Maintain accurate student health records and required documentation Monitor immunization compliance and other state-required health records Communicate with parents, physicians, and school personnel regarding student health concerns Assist with the development and implementation of student health plans as needed Promote a safe and healthy school environment Assist with health screenings and required state reporting Support attendance and student wellness initiatives Maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff medical information Participate in crisis response and emergency preparedness efforts Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee Desired Characteristics
