Description

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Pediatric Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents presenting with acute, complex, or critical illnesses and injuries. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary pediatric team to stabilize patients, manage acute conditions, and support families during stressful hospital stays. Job Responsibilities

Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct initial and ongoing physical assessments, vital sign monitoring, and pediatric-specific triage for acutely ill pediatric patients.
Treatment Administration: Safely calculate, prepare, and administer pediatric medications, IV therapies, blood products, and complex treatments according to pediatric dosage standards.
Acute Intervention: Recognize subtle changes in clinical condition, manage emergency situations (including resuscitation and stabilization protocols), and initiate rapid responses when necessary.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with pediatricians, pediatric hospitalists, pediatric specialists, respiratory therapists, and social workers to execute individualized care plans.
Family-Centered Care & Education: Provide emotional support, guidance, and clear discharge instructions to pediatric patients and their family members, ensuring families are active partners in the care plan.
Documentation & Safety: Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record (EHR) documentation while strictly adhering to patient safety guidelines, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) designation.
Strong pediatric assessment, peripheral IV placement, and central line management skills.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and family-centered interpersonal abilities.
